Why it works

This is the classic racetam stack from the nootropics community: Piracetam as the base plus a choline source. It is here partly because the analysis on this page shows something useful. Listing both Citicoline and Alpha-GPC means paying twice for one mechanism, and the overlap card flags exactly that. Most people choose one of the two.

How they work together

The racetam-plus-choline pairing comes from community practice rather than from trials of the combination. Piracetam's own evidence is mixed. A 2002 meta-analysis found a global benefit in cognitively impaired older adults [1], and a 2024 meta-analysis found no significant memory effect [2].

Worth knowing

Alpha-GPC carries an observational stroke-risk signal from a very large cohort [3]. If you only take one choline source, that is a reasonable thing to weigh when choosing between them.

Not a protocol and not a recommendation to combine anything. Read the individual entries, and talk to a clinician before taking any of this, particularly anything labelled prescription drug.
